SNF Energy Grant awarded

Prof. Noiray is awarded a 1.2 Million AP Energy Grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. This 4-year project starts on Sept. 1st 2015. It will address the scientific challenges associated with the development of new sequential-combustion architectures for the next generation of heavy-duty gas turbines. This technology step-change will provide higher fuel and operational flexibility, higher efficiency and power and lower emissions compared to modern platforms which are equipped with single-stage-combustion chambers.
