CSCS Production Project

CAPS got allocated 4 million CPU hours for the project "Identification of thermoacoustic instability driving mechanism in a new generation gas turbine combustor".

by Giacomo Bonciolini

Our group's project proposal for high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations was accepted from the Swiss National Supercomputing Center (external pageCSCS).

The simulations will be performed on the supercomputer Cray XC30 Piz Daint, one of the top ten in the external pagelist of the world's top supercomputers.
